Standing in the corner of the small YDHR yard on a very pleasant Saturday afternoon. This is one of two RS3s that the YDHR owns and is quite often used. I heard that this engine spent most of its years working at a lumber mill in northern Quebec. |

The York Durham Heritage Railway has just acquired some new passenger cars from the Ontario Northland Railway. So far, only two have arrived but there are another two which are on their way. As a matter of fact; I've seen these two cars standing on a storage track in the CN MacMillan yard about a month ago. I can't wait to see these cars be used to pull tourists through the spectacular scenery of this area. |

Before this unit was rescued by the YDHR, it spent most of its life working for the Ontario Northland Railway. Today, this unit isn't used much because it has a leaky radiator but some of the volunteers told me that they sometimes use this unit when they have to do track work. |
