As dusk slowly starts to creep in, giving the surroundings a splash of golden hues, the assistant engineer fills the sand box of YDHR 3612 as the crew gets ready to start up the engine. The train will depart in about an hour showing the spectacular sunset of the York Region country side to a group of tourists. |

In the small YDHR yard. |

The York Durham Heritage Railway has just acquired some new passenger cars from the Ontario Northland Railway. So far, only two have arrived but there are another two which are on their way. As a matter of fact; I've seen these two cars standing on a storage track in the CN MacMillan yard about a month ago. I can't wait to see these cars be used to pull tourists through the spectacular scenery of this area. |
