Album Info:This album features photos that I took in/near the city of Vaughan Ontario Canada. Most if not all the images that I feature here were taken along the CN York Subdivision and around the CN MacMillan yard which is an enormous hump-classification yard.

Description:  CN 2824 pulls a string of empty autoracks below a set of 3 of 500 kv power lines that carry electricity generated at the Pickering and Darlington nuclear plants as the train passes by the CN MacMillan yard.

Title:  CN 4800
Description:  Heading East pulling a string of autoracks out of the CN MacMillan yard. I was quite surprised when I saw these GP38-2s engines pull out on to the mainline for now it is mostly dominated by GEVOs. These days, The GP38s mostly work as high power switch/yard engines for they are superior to the GP9s. Anyway it was a treat to see these units run on the mainline.

Description:  The sun has just gone past the horizon and what was an absolutely splendid day for railfanning was quickly getting overthrown by the darkness of the night as this train enters the CN MacMillan yard with GOT 667 being tested/delivered by CN rail before this brand new engine starts its career of pulling 12 car commuter trains for GO Transit.

Description:  CN 5645 leads a mixed freight consist into the CN MacMillan yard with the help of two different lease units one of which is a PRLX SD70Ace (1st trailing unit) and the second a former CSX C40-8 (3rd trailing unit). Note that despite being built about a decade later than the leading engine, PRLX 4834 certainly seems to show its age more than its predecessor the SD75I.
